Any firm registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors may participate in Flood Control District construction projects. Firms who are listed on the Maricopa County Article 5 Contractors Register may receive notices of upcoming projects. Construction firms who have submitted information to be on the County Register may be solicited and selected by any County agency, including the District, for projects that do not require advertisement. These are referred to as Register Selections.
Public Notices are placed in the Arizona Business Gazette , the official legal publication of Maricopa County. A courtesy e-mailing of the public notice advertisements is sent to contractors who are listed on the Article 5 Contractors Register and who are qualified to perform the specific area(s) of work covered in the specific project.
Generally, projects are designed and constructed using the latest revisions of the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Uniform Standard Specifications and Uniform Standard Details.
