The Flood Control District owns and manages the land immediately surrounding flood control structures. By preventing public access to flood control structures, the District can prevent damage and maintain safe structures that function properly.
Illegal dumping and vandalism are the two most common forms of damage that can be done by the public to a flood control structure. The District closely monitors its properties and rectifies any illegal dumping or vandalism as soon as possible.
Residents of the County can help the District monitor illegal or destructive activity in and around flood control structures. If you see evidence of illegal dumping, vandalism or other damage, immediately notify the District using the online Structure Maintenance Public Concern Form.
