The Hawes Road Drainage Improvements Project was identified in the East Mesa Area Drainage Master Plan as a solution to eliminate many of the existing drainage and flooding problems along Hawes Road.
There is an existing concrete-lined channel on the west side of Hawes Road from Southern Avenue to Emelita Avenue. The channel is unimproved from Emelita north to Apache Trail, and does not have adequate capacity to convey the 100-year storm (1 percent chance of occurring each year).
This project consists of the construction of a channel and storm drain within or adjacent to Hawes Road. |
