This Public Meeting will provide the results of Phase 1 and an introduction to Phase 2 of the study, including:
1) updated proposed floodplain boundaries for the contributing drainage area to Sunset Wash and Sunnycove Wash
2) an introduction to the next project phase to update floodplain boundaries along 63 linear miles of washes in the Town and southwest of the Town limits
3) how proposed changes in floodplain boundaries may affect building and flood insurance requirements
District and Project Team staff members will be present to answer questions. In addition, any knowledge property owners and residents have of flooding in the area (e.g. experiences, issues, photos) is welcomed. Please bring flooding photos to be scanned for use in the District's data collection efforts. |
