NOTICE: A DRAFT revised version of the Drainage Policy and Standards for Maricopa County is now available for public review and comment. The current draft date is July 2010. Revisions made are listed in the Revisions section of the document. The Flood Control District of Maricopa County and Maricopa County Planning and Development Services (P&D) are requesting review and input from the public on the draft manual. The public review period will end on September 30, 2009. The request for public review and input is only being advertised on this web page and the P&D web page at: http://www.maricopa.gov/planning/BuildingServices/DrainageReviewRequest.aspx. After conclusion of the public review period, all comments received will be addressed and revisions or additions made as appropriate. The revised Drainage Policy and Standards Manual will then be forwarded to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County Board of Directors for approval and adoption.

The Drainage Policy and Standards for Maricopa County, dated January 2007 and approved and adopted by both the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County Board of Directors, provides a means to expedite the review, approval and permitting process for unincorporated areas of Maricopa County regarding the Flood Control District of Maricopa County Floodplain Regulations and the Maricopa County Drainage Regulations.
This document is intended to be used in conjunction with the three volumes of the Drainage Design Manual for Maricopa County (Hydrology, Hydraulics and Erosion Control).
