What Will This Patch Do?
This patch adds an option to the DDMSW HEC-1 network to allow users to append HEC-1
ID cards (comment cards) and add KM cards (comment cards inside KK blocks) immediately
below KK card.
Upgrading DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 to DDMSW 3.5.9
After applying DDMSW 3.5.9 patch, the DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 software will be replaced by DDMSW 3.5.9 and the data will be preserved. But it is still highly recommended backing up the project data from DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 before conducting the upgrade. The following are step-by-step procedures to upgrade DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 to DDMSW 3.5.9.
Step 1 Right-click here and choose “Save Target As” to download the self-extract file FCDMCPATCH359.EXE
to the installation folder of DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 (By default, the installation folder of DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 is C:\DDMSW352\ST or C:\DDMSW354\ST. To make sure this is the right folder, you can check if there is an executable file called "stl.exe" in this folder.)
Step 2 Double-click on FCDMCPATCH359.EXE to self-extract files in the installation folder of DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4. Due to the size of this executable file, it might take a few minutes to extract all the files in the package depending on the processing speed of the end user's computer.
Step 3 An information message box pops up which reads “All items for DDMSW Patch were successfully extracted” once the upgrade process is finished.
Step 4 After the DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4 is upgraded to DDMSW 3.5.9 successfully, you can launch DDMSW 3.5.9 by the same way you launch DDMSW 3.5.2 or DDMSW 3.5.4, i.e. click on the old shortcut on the desktop or click on Start => All Programs => FCDMC => ST => DDMSW3. It may be mentioned that you may want to rename your shortcut name on the desktop to indicate it is 3.5.9. It may also be mentioned that the installation folder name is not changed to DDMSW 3.5.9. You can keep the old installation folder name or rename it as long as you know it is DDMSW 3.5.9. After you launch DDMSW 3.5.9, you can verify the version number by clicking on Help => About to display the version number.
