MICROSTATION V8 
~These also apply to MicroStation Version 2004 which will be released in the spring of 2004.

--This README file contains instructions for setting up MicroStation V8 to function according to the Flood Control District CAD 
  Guidelines 2004.  After extracting the files, the Version 8 CAD Guidelines are in pdf format in the 
  c:\microstation-cfg\doc\FCD-CAD-2004.pdf file.  If you have questions contact:

~The directories paths of the configuration variables for the FCD User file are primarily set to:
C:\MicroStation-cfg\*\

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Close all sessions of Microstation.

2.  Point the zip file to extract the contents to the root directory of the local hard drive (c:\).   
	~The zip file will automatically create the necessary folders and self extract all the files. 
                (creates the "Microstation-cfg" folder)...be sure the options of your zip software are set to "extract to full path")

4.  Copy the file FCD.ucf from c:\Microstation-cfg\user\ directory into the _USTN_USERNAME directory...
      ~C:\Program Files\Bentley\Workspace\users is the default for MicroStation V8 and Version 2004

5.  Open MicroStation, in the Microstation Manager window change the user name to FCD.

CHANGING SYSTEM LEVEL VARIABLES 
--FOR EXPERIENCED USERS ONLY---
~Some of the configuration variables in the FCD.ucf file are system level variables.  Please refer to the administrator's guide for 
  information on viewing or editing them.  

--The FCD interface contains the default settings so overwriting any files won't affect it.
~You must open MicroStation before the FCD folder will exist.
