Traveling? Know Your Risk for Mosquito-Borne Diseases

Some mosquito-borne diseases are not locally found in Arizona, but are associated with travel to areas of the world experiencing ongoing transmission. This includes regions in close proximity to Arizona, such as Mexico. Whether visiting across the border or traveling to other international destinations, know where mosquito-borne illnesses may be present and take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

If you have traveled outside of the U.S. and begin feeling sick upon your return home, it’s important to tell your doctor where you have visited so that you may get a proper diagnosis.
