You have 30 calendar days from the date you were hired, or the date you became eligible for benefits, to enroll in benefits. You will enroll online through the Benefit Enrollment System.
In general, benefits are effective the first day of the month from your hire date, or the date you became eligible for benefits.
At your fingertips...
For all newly benefit eligible employees, coverage will default where the employee is enrolled in Basic Life and Basic AD&D Insurance only. If you wish to elect coverage and add your eligible dependents, you must take action and submit benefit elections within 30 calendar days of your hire date or date of benefit eligibility.
To complete your enrollment, register in the Benefit Enrollment System. Once registered, click the ‘Start Here’ button and follow the instructions to enroll.

- If you enrolled your dependent(s) in coverage, you must provide proof of eligibility within 45 days of your hire date or date of benefits eligibility. You will be asked to upload the appropriate documentation. You and your dependent(s) will NOT be enrolled in coverage if you do not respond or provide sufficient proof of eligibility by the deadline.
- Submit Evidence of Insurability (EOI) for life insurance, if applicable.
- Verify the correct premium deductions are being taken on your pay statement. Premiums are deducted beginning on the pay day associated with the pay period in which you became eligible. Premiums are not pro-rated if you become eligible for benefits in the middle of a pay period.
