What are the types of pools, spas and bathing lake facilities are regulated?
Public and semi-public pools, wading pools or special use pools, spas and artificial bathing lakes are regulated by the Swimming Pool Program. The Swimming Pool Program does not regulate or approve plans for the construction of new or modification of existing private residential pools, spas and bathing lakes.

The wading and special use pools class includes a number of different pool types. For example, spray pads fall under this class of pools. For definitions of the various types of pools, spas and bathing lakes, visit the Terminology page.
